Cameron Bell produced another fine performance to finish 4th in 1:54.34 in the final of the U17M 800m on day two of the England Athletics U15/U17 Championships. In a fast race with all the competitors very evenly matched, Cameron was boxed coming round the top bend into the finishing straight. Despite an impressive kick and finishing faster than anyone in the field, he failed narrowly to run down 2nd and 3rd place.

Katie Palfreeman produced a brilliant performance to take the bronze medal and run a new pb in the final of the U17W 3k on the opening day of the England Athletics championships.
Katie sat on the back of the leading group as the field split on the second lap. She then gradually moved through the field, moving into 3rd with 200m to go. Katie was then locked in a sprint and was denied the silver by a dip on the line.
Katie was rewarded with the bronze and a new pb of 9:54.44 with Niamh Brown (Aldershot) taking the silver in 9:54.39.
Cameron Bell successfully negotiated the heats of the U17M 800m. Having led his heat through most of the race, Cameron took the third automatic qualifying spot with a time of 1:57.62 for a place in the final on day 2.

Hatti Archer finished 4th in 38:01 in the third and final instalment of the Mountain Running Challenge at Betws-y-Coed to gain selection for the World Championships.
Hatti will now represent GB at the World Mountain Running Championships on 19 September.

Saskia Huxham helped Yorkshire win the North of England Inter Counties title in winning the U15G B 800m in 2:20.71.

Dave Archer won the Rochdale HM in 73:09 with Andy Challenger 4th in 74:26.

Cameron Bell finished 8th in 3:59.01 in his heat of the 1500m.
Wednesday 12 August
Lizzie Adams continued her return to form and fitness by winning the Ulverstone 10k in 36:03. Lizzie was also 14th overall and won the women’s race by over 2 min 30 seconds.
Saturday 15-Sunday 16 August
Cameron Bell won the Northern Athletics U17M 1500m title with a fast finish over the last 700m. In a slow tactical race, Cameron showed impressive closing speed to win in 4:06.04.
Saskia Huxham produced a fine performance to take the bronze medal in the U15G 800m in 2:21.82. Saskia had earlier won her heat in 2:22.59.
Friday 14 August
Andy Heyes finished his summer season with a new pb over 5k on the roads in finishing 2nd in the Ipswich Twilight 5k in 14:12. After breaking away with the leading group in the middle of the race, he out sprinted Chris Thompson and just failed to catch Ryan McLeod on the line.
Tuesday 11 August
Andy Heyes won the 3k by over 30 seconds with a new outdoor pb of 8:02.96.
Katie Palfreeman continued her fine form recording 10:05.93 in heat 2 of the 3k with Hannah Fletcher just behind with a new pb of 10:09.53.
Lilly Fletcher ran very well in heat 3 of the 3k to also record a new pb f 10:45.84.
Saskia Huxham looked very strong in winning heat 3 of the U15 800m with a new pb of 2:18.65.
David Lewis worked hard in heat 1 of the 800m to finish 11th in 2:23.80.
